Biography
The Hoodoo Brothers is a grooving, soulful, live blues/jazz/rock group that performs in the Northeast Kansas area. The band provides live and recorded music that appeals to young and old alike.
Our music is an assortment of moods and styles – from energetic to soul searching and everything in between. The band performs cover material by artists such as Jonny Lang, Freddie King, Gary Moore, Otis Redding, Herbie Hancock, David Sanborn, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Tab Benoit, Kenny Burrell, Miles Davis, and more! They also perform a handful of original material as well.
With a live show that proves that the blues isn’t always sad, and a focus on value for the venue/event staff and the fans, the Hoodoo Brothers are sure to bring life to your venue or event.
The band was formed by Nic Olas and Jim West, both multi-instrumental musicians with well over 40 years of live performance experience each and both with a passion for paying attention to details, both from the music side as well as the business side of being a musician. With the killer rhythm section of master drummer Mickey Munoz and bassist/vocalist Steve Montgomery, along with the beautiful and talented Sabrina Mann belting out vocals like you’ve never heard, The Hoodoo Brothers have the experience, skills and desire to provide you with a live musical performance that will be hard to beat!
