With the loss of our bassist Paul and our saxophonist Casey, The Hoodoo Brothers are closing shop. We had a really good two year ride, made a LOT of new friends, played some very cool venues, and played (what we thought) was some pretty cool blues music! We want to thank everyone who supported us, came to our shows, bought our CD’s and always had such great things to say about us. You were the reason we do what we do. Thanks again to all the venues that hosted us. Big thanks to Kansas City Blues Society and Topeka Blues Society for your unwavering support of us and the blues in KS/MO. Be sure to look for Nic, Mickey and Jim in projects they are working with now in the Topeka/KC area. As we prepare for the IBC this weekend, we wanted to remind everyone that we have CD’s for sale and will also have them with us at the IBC. $8 each and you also get a Hoodoo Brothers sticker!
This Saturday we will be taking part in the Kansas City Blues Society International Blues Challenge (IBC) at Knuckleheaads Garage in KC. We participated last year, met a lot of folks and other musicians and are looking forward to doing all over again! If you want to hear what local blues talent KC has to offer you won’t want to miss this! I believe the doors open at noon to the public so come on out and #supportlocalmusic #bluesmusic
Tonight was completely off the hook at Trivedi Wine! Kansas City Blues Society sponsored the night and what a incredible turn our supporting #localmusic #bluesmusic and #localmusicians Maulik Trivedi and his staff were about the nicest folks you’ll find. We had a huge crowd even though the humidity was off the charts!! Than you all!!! 🙏 Big shout out to KCBS board member Craig Smith for spearheading this event! You rock brother!!
